Ok I am back here today to fill you in on what sources I found helpful for my work for home searching.

I had help from a very dear friend on getting my resume all up to today’s standards, so I didn’t have to pay for someone to do that or try to make a go of it myself. She was spot on with getting it all fixed up and sounding proper. I am so glad she helped me and having her fresh eyes looking at it helped because when she emailed it back to me, I was like wow why didn’t I word it that way. So, sometimes it takes fresh eyes looking at something to help you out and if anyone likes I could help be those fresh eyes for you.

Next, I started looking for jobs on Indeed and also Flexjobs. Also, I started using LinkedIn for advice and help on what to search for. I also have a new email for all of this, so my job-hunting emails all go to one place. This makes it a lot easier to reply when needed and knowing everything is in one place makes it a lot easier to refer back to if and when its needed.

With FlexJobs I have noticed you need to be on there a lot. Constantly searching new jobs are added all day long. They do have a wide range of jobs available on there for you to go thru and apply. Yes, my husband thinks I am nuts being on my laptop all day long, but I have always been told the early bird gets the worm.

With Indeed I found it a lot different and at time confusing, since with Indeed you have to pay attention to what state you need to be in for the job. I have yet to figure out how to change that in their system. They do have a wide range of jobs on there also.

Now with LinkedIn, I use that account to hear and read what other job seekers are hearing you can also look up jobs there, but I mainly use it to connect with people and get their insight on the job market at this time. With the employers on there you never know if you post something on there, they may just reach out to you in regard to a job.

I am still learning all this so if something new comes up in regard to anything I have wrote about today, I will update everyone.
